JobRev Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 18, 2026
Last updated: October 18, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how JobRev LLC, an Arizona limited liability company (Arizona Corporation Commission entity ID 25135935) ("JobRev," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information in connection with our website at jobrev.app and our software-as-a-service platform for contractor and field-service businesses (together, the "Service").
If you have questions, contact us at support@jobrev.app or by mail at 18365 N 111th Drive, Surprise, AZ 85378.
For Shops: our processing of your customers' data is also governed by our Terms of Service and Data Processing Addendum.
At a glance
- We don't sell personal information or "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we don't use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking tools.
- Contractors control their customers' data. If a contractor uses JobRev to text, email, or bill you, that contractor decides how your information is used, and JobRev handles it only on the contractor's behalf. See Section 1.
- Texts can always be stopped. Reply STOP to any text. Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in consent are never shared or sold for marketing. See Section 5.
- Data is stored in the United States, with a short list of providers (Section 8.1).
- You have rights to access, correct, and delete your information, whichever state you live in. See Section 14.
1. Who this policy covers, and our two roles
JobRev is a business-to-business tool. Contractor and field-service businesses ("Shops") sign up for JobRev accounts and use the Service to manage their work and communicate with their own customers. Each Shop has its own separate account.
We handle personal information in two different roles:
(a) When JobRev decides how information is used (JobRev's own data). This policy fully applies to personal information we collect for our own purposes, including information about:
- Account users – Shop owners, office staff, sales staff, foremen, crew members, and anyone else a Shop invites to its account;
- Website visitors – people who visit jobrev.app; and
- Billing contacts – people who manage a Shop's subscription or payment setup with us.
(b) When JobRev acts for a Shop (Customer Data). Shops use the Service to store and process information about their customers, such as names, phone numbers, email addresses, service addresses, job photos, estimates, invoices, and e-signatures ("Customer Data"). For Customer Data, the Shop is the business that controls the data and decides how it is used, and JobRev is a processor / service provider that handles it only on the Shop's behalf and according to the Shop's instructions and our agreement with the Shop.
If you are a customer of a Shop (for example, you received an estimate, invoice, appointment update, or text message from a contractor that uses JobRev), the Shop's own privacy practices govern your information. Please contact that Shop directly with questions or to access, correct, or delete your information. If you contact us, we will refer your request to the relevant Shop where we can identify it, and we will assist the Shop as required by our agreement and applicable law. You can always opt out of text messages by replying STOP (see Section 5).
2. Information we collect
2.1 Account user information
- Name, email address, phone number, job title or role, and password. JobRev handles sign-in itself (we do not use a third-party sign-in provider), and we store passwords only as bcrypt hashes, never in readable form;
- The Shop or business you are associated with, and your permissions within that account;
- Profile settings and preferences. If you turn on browser push notifications, this includes the push subscription details your browser provides (an endpoint address and encryption keys); and
- Messages you send to us, such as support requests and feedback.
2.2 Shop and billing information
- Business name, business contact details, and business email sender settings;
- Subscription plan, billing history, and billing contact details; and
- Payment information processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers. Stripe may share limited details with us, such as card brand, last four digits, expiration date, and payment status.
- If a Shop connects Stripe Connect to accept payments from its customers, we receive information about the Shop's connected Stripe account (such as account ID and status) needed to create charges on the Shop's account and display payment status.
2.3 Usage, device, and log information
When you use the Service or visit our website, we and our hosting providers automatically collect technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages and features accessed, dates and times of access, referring URLs, and error and diagnostic logs.
2.4 Website visitor information
If you visit jobrev.app without an account, we collect the usage, device, and log information described above, and any information you choose to submit (for example, if you email us).
2.5 Customer Data (processed on behalf of Shops)
As described in Section 1(b), Shops store Customer Data in the Service, including their customers' names, phone numbers, email addresses, service addresses, job photos, estimates and invoices, e-signatures, and related messages and job records, plus SMS consent and opt-out records (see Section 5). Job photos and other files are kept in private storage and can be viewed only through short-lived links (see Section 12). We process Customer Data only to provide the Service to the Shop.
2.6 Sensitive information
The only "sensitive personal information" we collect for our own purposes is account login credentials (your password, stored only as a bcrypt hash), which we use only to secure your account. The Service is not designed for highly sensitive information. Our Terms prohibit Shops from storing Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, full payment card numbers, financial account credentials, health information, or biometric data in the Service.
3. Where we get information
- Directly from you – when you create an account, are invited to a Shop's account, update your profile, contact us, or use the Service.
- From the Shop you work with – for example, when a Shop owner invites you as a user and enters your name and email.
- Automatically – from your browser or device when you use the Service or visit our website.
- From service providers and integrations – such as Stripe (payment and account status), Twilio (message delivery status and STOP/START/HELP replies), Resend (email delivery status), OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service (map coordinates for addresses), and Intuit QuickBooks Online (if a Shop enables that integration).
- Customer Data – from Shops, and from Shops' customers when they interact with Shop-sent estimates, invoices, signature requests, or messages.
4. How we use information
We use JobRev's own data to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and secure the Service;
- Create and manage accounts, authenticate users, and enforce account permissions;
- Process subscription payments and manage billing;
- Send service-related communications, such as account notices, security alerts, billing notices, push notifications you have turned on, and changes to our terms or policies;
- Respond to support requests and feedback;
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve the Service, including diagnosing errors and understanding how features are used;
- Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our Terms of Service;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights; and
- For other purposes we describe to you at the time we collect the information, or with your consent.
We do not use personal information for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects about anyone. We do not use personal information for targeted advertising.
We use Customer Data only to provide the Service to the applicable Shop (for example, to store job records, deliver the Shop's texts and emails, generate estimates and invoices, capture e-signatures, convert service addresses into map locations and display maps, record SMS consent and opt-outs, process payments to the Shop, and sync with QuickBooks Online if the Shop enables it), to provide support the Shop requests, to secure the Service, and as required by law. We do not use Customer Data for our own marketing.
5. Text messages (SMS)
Shops can use the Service to send text messages to their customers. These messages are sent through our messaging provider, Twilio, on behalf of the Shop.
- What messages are sent. Transactional messages only, related to the Shop's work for the customer, such as job and appointment updates, estimates, invoices, and reminders. Shops may not send marketing or promotional texts through JobRev.
- Consent. Each Shop is required to obtain its customer's consent before texting that customer through the Service. You can give consent by checking the optional SMS box on a Shop's booking form (the box starts unchecked and you don't have to check it to book), or by telling the Shop, in which case Shop staff record it in the Service. For each consent we store when it was given, how it was given (booking form or staff entry, and for staff entries, which staff member recorded it), and the version of the consent wording.
- Message frequency varies depending on the customer's jobs and interactions with the Shop.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Opt out: Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts from that Shop through JobRev. We record your opt-out for your contact record, and the Shop's texts to you stop. You may receive one final message confirming your opt-out. To start receiving texts again, reply START.
- Other ways to opt out: You can also tell the Shop in any reasonable way that you no longer want texts, for example by calling, emailing, or telling its staff. Shops must record and honor these requests within the time the law requires.
- Help: Reply HELP for help, or contact the Shop directly or email support@jobrev.app.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in consent are not shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. Mobile phone numbers are disclosed only to service providers (such as Twilio) as needed to deliver messages and operate the Service, as described in Section 8.
6. Email
Emails that Shops send to their customers through the Service (for example, estimates, invoices, and signature requests) are delivered by our email provider, Resend. They are sent in the Shop's name from a Shop-specific address on the jobrev.app domain (in the format "Shop Name <shop-slug@jobrev.app>"), and replies go to the Shop's own email address. We also use Resend to send account and service emails to account users.
7. Payments
- Payments to Shops. Shops can accept payments from their customers through Stripe Connect. Payments are charged directly on the Shop's own connected Stripe account, the Shop is the merchant of record, and funds go to the Shop, not to JobRev. JobRev does not take a fee on these payments. These payments are subject to Stripe's Connected Account Agreement and Stripe's privacy policy. Stripe collects and processes the payer's card and payment details; JobRev does not store full card numbers.
- JobRev subscriptions. If a Shop subscribes to a paid JobRev plan, the subscription is billed through JobRev's own Stripe account. Stripe processes the payment details; we receive only limited information as described in Section 2.2.
8. How we share information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising (as those terms are used in U.S. state privacy laws). We disclose personal information only as follows:
8.1 Service providers and subprocessors
We use the following providers to operate the Service. They may process personal information (including Customer Data) only to provide services to us:
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Vercel | Application hosting and delivery (U.S. region) |
| Neon | Postgres database and object storage for job photos and files (AWS us-east-1, United States) |
| Twilio | SMS message delivery |
| Resend | Email delivery |
| Stripe | Subscription billing and Stripe Connect payment processing |
| OpenStreetMap (Nominatim) | Converting service addresses into map coordinates (geocoding). Service addresses are sent for geocoding. |
| Esri (ArcGIS map tiles) | Displaying map images in the Service. |
| Browser push services | Delivering push notifications to account users who turn them on, through the push service run by the user's browser vendor |
| Intuit (QuickBooks Online) | Accounting sync, only if a Shop enables the integration |
When you view a map in the Service, your browser loads map tiles from Esri's ArcGIS servers and sends them standard request information, such as your IP address. We do not currently use third-party analytics, advertising, error-monitoring, or sign-in providers. We will update this list before a new provider begins processing personal information, and we notify Shops of new subprocessors as described in our Data Processing Addendum.
8.2 At a Shop's direction
Customer Data and account information within a Shop's account are available to that Shop's authorized users. When a Shop enables an integration, such as QuickBooks Online, we send the data needed for that integration (for example, paid invoices) to the third party at the Shop's direction. Information sent to Intuit is governed by Intuit's terms and privacy policy.
8.3 Legal and safety reasons
We may disclose information if we believe in good faith it is reasonably necessary to comply with law, regulation, legal process, or a governmental request; to enforce our agreements; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of JobRev, our users, Shops' customers, or the public.
8.4 Business transfers
If JobRev is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of its business or assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy or a policy at least as protective.
8.5 With consent
We may share information for other purposes with your consent or at your direction.
Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from all of the categories of sharing above and will not be shared with any third parties, except service providers (such as Twilio) solely as necessary to deliver the messages.
9. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to operate the Service, such as keeping you signed in, remembering your preferences, and securing your session. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs so the Service can run. We do not currently use any third-party analytics, advertising, or error-monitoring tools. If we add one, we will update this policy first.
We do not use cookies or similar technologies for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, but some parts of the Service may not work without necessary cookies.
Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is no sale or sharing to opt out of. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of sale and sharing for that browser. Because we do not track you across third-party websites, we do not respond differently to "Do Not Track" signals.
10. Where data is stored
JobRev's Service is intended for use in the United States. Our hosting provider (Vercel) runs the Service in a U.S. region, and our database and file storage provider (Neon) keeps our data, including job photos and files, in the U.S. East (AWS us-east-1) region. We store data in the United States.
Some services that deliver specific features are run by their own providers and may process limited information outside the United States. These are OpenStreetMap's Nominatim geocoding service (which receives service addresses), Esri's map tile service (which receives your IP address and standard request information when you view a map), and browser push services (which carry encrypted notifications).
11. How long we keep information
- Account user and Shop information: for as long as the account is active, and afterward as needed for the purposes in this policy, such as resolving disputes, enforcing our agreements, and meeting legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
- Billing records: as long as needed for tax, accounting, and legal purposes.
- Usage and log information: for as long as reasonably needed for security, troubleshooting, and improving the Service.
- Customer Data: for as long as the Shop keeps it in the Service. When a Shop's account ends, the Shop may export its data during the export window described in our Terms of Service, after which we delete Customer Data from our active systems as described in those Terms. Copies in routine backups are deleted as those backups expire.
We may keep information longer where required by law or where it has been de-identified so that it can no longer reasonably be linked to a person.
12. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit; access controls; passwords stored only as bcrypt hashes; private storage for job photos and files, which can be viewed only through signed links that expire after 5 minutes; separation of each Shop's account data; and restricting access to personnel and providers who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Account users are responsible for keeping their login credentials confidential. If we learn of a security breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and others as required by law, including Arizona's breach notification law (A.R.S. § 18-552) where it applies. For Customer Data, we notify the affected Shop, which is responsible for notifying its customers as required by law.
13. Your choices
- Account information: You can review and update much of your account information in the Service. A Shop's account owner or administrator may also manage users in that Shop's account.
- Emails from JobRev: If we send you marketing or product-update emails, you can unsubscribe using the link in the email. We will still send service-related messages, such as security, billing, and account notices.
- Text messages: Reply STOP to opt out, as described in Section 5.
- Push notifications: Turn them off in the Service settings or in your browser or device settings.
- Cookies: Use your browser settings, as described in Section 9.
14. Your privacy rights, including U.S. state privacy rights
A growing number of U.S. states give residents rights over their personal information. These include California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia. Arizona does not currently have a comprehensive consumer privacy law. As a small business, JobRev may not currently meet the thresholds that make some of these laws apply. Regardless of where you live, we will honor the following requests for JobRev's own data, subject to verification and legal exceptions:
- Know / access: the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties to whom we disclose it;
- Correct: inaccurate personal information;
- Delete: personal information we collected from you, subject to exceptions (for example, records we must keep for legal, tax, or security reasons);
- Portability: a copy of your personal information in a usable format;
- Opt out of sale, "sharing," targeted advertising, and profiling: we do not sell your personal information, "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising, use it for targeted advertising, or use it for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects;
- Limit use of sensitive personal information: we use sensitive personal information (such as account login credentials) only as necessary to provide the Service and as otherwise permitted by law; and
- Non-discrimination: we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
How to make a request. Email support@jobrev.app with the subject "Privacy Request" and tell us which right you want to exercise. We aim to respond within 45 days. If we need more time (up to another 45 days, where the law allows), we will tell you why. We will verify your request by confirming information associated with your account or your communications with us. You may use an authorized agent; we may require proof of the agent's authority and may ask you to verify your identity directly. Where state law provides a right to appeal our decision, you may appeal by replying to our response or emailing support@jobrev.app with the subject "Privacy Request Appeal."
Customer Data. If your information was entered into JobRev by a Shop (for example, you are that Shop's customer), please send your request to the Shop. We act as the Shop's service provider and will help the Shop respond.

De-identified information. Where we use de-identified information, we keep it in de-identified form and do not attempt to re-identify it, except as the law permits.
California "Shine the Light." We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
15. Children
The Service is for businesses and is not directed to children. Account users must be at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in jurisdictions where a higher age applies) for our own purposes, and the Service is not directed to children within the meaning of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Our Terms prohibit Shops from using the Service to collect personal information directly from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at support@jobrev.app and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
16. U.S.-only service
The Service is offered only to businesses in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be processed and stored in the United States.
17. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy at jobrev.app/privacy and change the "Last updated" date above. If we make material changes, we will provide additional notice, such as by email to account owners or a notice in the Service, before the changes take effect.
